What chapters do

Local advocacy, statewide reach.

Every chapter is a separate 501(c)(3) with its own staff and board, so services flex to fit the community. At the same time, we share one voice on statewide and federal policy through The Arc of Colorado and The Arc of the United States.

Individual advocacy

Every chapter offers direct one-on-one advocacy for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities — at school, at work, in healthcare, and through life transitions.

Information & referral

Chapters connect families to waivers, service providers, legal resources, healthcare systems, recreation programs, and peer groups that fit your region.

Public policy & community education

The network amplifies local voices to the state Capitol and Congress on issues like waivers, Medicaid, employment, and community inclusion.

Statewide office

The Arc of Colorado

The state chapter coordinates policy work, convenes local chapters, and provides statewide training and resources.
