Youth Advocacy Specialist
Advocate alongside families with school-aged children navigating IEPs, 504 plans, discipline matters, and special-education conflicts in El Paso and surrounding counties.
What you’ll do
- •Attend IEP and 504 meetings with families as a trusted advocate
- •Provide training and one-on-one coaching on special-education rights
- •Build partnerships with local districts, CDE, and disability-rights organizations
- •Document cases and outcomes in our secure case-management system
- •Contribute to our Include U.S.A. youth self-advocacy programming
What you bring
- •Experience in special education, disability advocacy, or related field
- •Working knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and Colorado ECEA
- •Excellent communication — verbal, written, and across power differences
- •Comfort with case management software and Google Workspace
- •Passion for the rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities
